Western Slope Group Contact List

Not much new at the ranch although highlands are starting to move again, there are currently a number of Highland, heifers, steers, cows for sale on the Western slope of Colorado. If you are interested in purchasing or selling highland cattle or think you may in the future, please email me and I will add you to my contact list. 2pinonsranch@gmail.com or call anytime, Vern 970-497-9842 or 970-874-4020.

I send this list out monthy or as needed with a list of what's for sale and what's wanted, I also try to match up any ranches needs with others. I can do all the work for 10% commision or I will allow them to contact each other and cut out the middle man, ME!

You can also see my ads on Craigslist, just search for highland in the western slope section of Colorado.
Happy Ranching, Vern.

Simon the f(r)amed?

The mother of the last customer of Simon is quite an accomplished artist and was inspired to create a painting of Simon while he was there.

It is a large painting measuring 22" x 30" and she captured Simons coloring to a tee, we love the painting, information on the artist and where to see some of her other work: http://www.straightfromtheheartwildlifeart.com/

Highland/Jersey cross?

The red bull Simon has gone to Gunnison to help out some Jerseys, he will be available for services around mid-march or after. The Blonde bull George is available now, $85/head service fees, call Vern at 970-497-9842.

Why Highland/Jersey cross?
This is what this customer's friend says: "Highland/jersey crosses are the sweetest milk cows ever! They are very easy to tame and make great rich creamy milk. They also calve very easy and handle cold weather very well." This customer says: "That is pretty much what we've been told. Again the people that are wanting and hoping for a heifer from us, don't have a cross. Their neighbors do and thats why they want one. They said its the best milk cow ever".
